Your safety comes first

Sugar dating is built on trust. That is why safety is not a single feature here but part of the whole platform: from the moment a profile is created until the two of you decide to meet. Here is what we do, and what you can do yourself.

What Sugarfar does

Verified profiles

The camera badge means a profile photo matches a live selfie. The ID badge means an identity document has been checked. These badges explain which check a profile has completed.

A badge tells you about a specific check. It does not guarantee another person’s intentions or behaviour.

Clear photo guidelines

Profile photos must show the member and follow our photo guidelines. You can report a photo that appears misleading or breaks the rules.

Active moderation

You can report content that breaks the rules from a profile or conversation. Support reviews reports and can take action under the terms of service.

You are in control

Block and report

You can block anyone you do not want to talk to and report profiles straight from the chat or the profile. Every report is handled by our team.

Private photos

Your private photos are protected and only shown to the members you have personally given access.

Your profile is not on Google

Sugarfar profiles are excluded from search indexing. Keep personal details private and remember that anything you share with another person can be copied.

Good habits when you meet

1

Get to know each other first

Keep the first conversations on Sugarfar, where you can block and report a member. Move to another service only if you both feel comfortable.

2

Have a video call

If you both agree, a short call using a separate service can help you get acquainted. Sugarfar has no built-in video calling, and a call does not guarantee someone’s identity or intentions.

3

Meet in a public place

Choose a café, restaurant or bar for the first dates, and arrange your own transport there and back.

4

Tell a friend

Let someone you trust know where you are, who you are meeting and when you expect to be home.

5

Never send money

Never send money, gift cards or cryptocurrency to someone you have not met. If anyone asks, report the profile straight away.
